It is only around 125 miles from Andorra in the Pyrenees to the Mediterranean but the variety of adventure activities you can try along the way is simply astounding – and all in spectacular landscapes, too.
In between the peaks of the Pyrenees and the coves and cliffs of the Catalan coast there are countless forests, valleys and rivers. Whether you are into cycling, canyoning, mountaineering, skydiving, diving, kayaking or just a bit of gentle hiking, you can do it here. Andorra is one of the best places to ski in the Pyrenees.
At the Grandvalira resort there are more than 200km of pistes, the largest skiable area in southern Europe. While conditions suit all levels, the resort is particularly good for families with plenty to keep kids amused. Adults, meanwhile, flock to the Vodka Bar in the Grau-Roig sector at the end of the day for a quick shot before they take their boots off.
